Yes, but dealerships would give codes out over the phone, the laws around this all tightened up.

Remove the radio in the hope some nice owner has, at some time, written the code on the radio.
I still have the paperwork for my vehicle and the radio code is on that paperwork, so when I had to remove the radio to do some dash replacement, I wrote the code on it in felt pen while I had it out.
