Rapid misfire/splutter noise when car is hot

hi, recently I’ve been having a problem with my 08 sv6 where after driving for roughly an hour and a half the car will start to limit its revs (usually to 2k or 3k) and start to make a really rapid misfire/splutter kind of noise however no faults codes are coming up and when the car cools down it drives fine like nothings wrong
I’ve shown mechanics a video and had all different answers such as could be a torque converter, fuel pump or injectors but none of them certain of what it is
I was wondering if anyone recognises the issue
