Looking for experts for advice .
Doing a rod on a hq chassis and running gear .for wheel discs..currently have no brake peddle or braking system .
Was looking at using a vt peddle and was wondering if the rest of a vt system would work with the hq discs
Any advice is welcomed.

I wouldn't use VT calipers on HQ rotors, VT rotors are about 3mm thicker than HQ, as they wore down you would risk the pistons popping out of the calipers when the pads wear down.

You said "the rest of the VT system" I assumed you were wanting to use the VT calipers on the HQ-HZ discs.

The VT calipers have more displacement than single piston early Holden calipers so the master cylinder has a larger bore. Apart from pushing more fluid out, it should work with HQ calipers.

Yeah sorry bad explanation
But that sounds like what I was wondering
Do you think there would be any peddle issues

A larger bore master will tend to have a harder pedal if nothing else has been changed to correct it. A harder pedal doesn't always mean better brakes it can create the opposite.

Not necessarily a harder pedal, a higher one. But you can compensate for that with pushrod length, pedal length and leverage points.
