I finally got the dealer-fitted sunroof on my VR Calais working as it should...slides, tilts and closes tightly. I have no headlining...it was removed as it was sagging and to give me access to the roof mechanism.
Anyway, the tray into which the glass retracts rattles like a coin in a coke tin. I have taped up all the wires and tightened everything I can but it seems as though the light steel construction of the tray lets it flex and rattle.
Most of the parts are riveted together, several of which I have drilled out and replaced.
Because a new headlining is going to cost me over $600, I'd dearly like to eradicate any annoying rattles before I shell out the cash. Once the lining is in, that's where it stays!
Can anyone offer their own experiences in this regard?
