Just research which one is easier to fit, look into whether you need custom engine mounts, adapter plates, fly wheels etc and see if anyone makes these off the shelf. Ecotec would probably be easier in this regard. then you gotta decide how much power and torque you want, what has to be fdone to each engine to achieve that and the cost and them make a decision.
Personally I'd consider putting in a V8 or gettign an SS
