i'm getting a jvc double din head unit to replace the stock eurocrap one. however, it's got a silver face and i want it to look good so i think i need a silver dash. should i get one out of an ss off ebay (about $60), or has anyone spray painted their current dash surround?

here's an ebay one (but with scratches):

i painted mine on my VT rather than getting painted one.
i took it off and gave it to a guy who prepared it and painted it the same as my car colour...i think it was round $60 or $80

ring holden and ask how much for a genuine VX SS one or HSV one?
i know it wont be cheap but worth a try...only a phone call

I bought the SS dashboard and transmission surround for $110 all up from holden, with no trade prices.

So it wasnt too expensive for a better more scratch tolerant surface than painting.
