    Hi,

If someone could please help, would be great. One side of the rear vent is closed, it seems as the knob on the side has been pushed down too far.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I have tried to pull out the centre console but having trouble, have taken out the two nuts at the rear of the console and 3 each side of the stereo but it does not want to release.

Or a pair of long nose pliers and pull it back.

Agree with this. Same with the ones on the side of my dash when I got the car. If they get pushed too hard, they collapse in, and pliers will pull them out again.

to remove the centre consol, 2 nuts in the consol compartment, remove the 3 screws from the stereo surround, once that has been done, there are 2 large screws (between the 3 stereo surround screws)that u need to unscrew bout 5-10mm. adjusting these drop or raise it, leveling the consol.. once these are down enough u can slid the consol back and out. there are a couple of screws holding the back vents in, remove these and out they come.
