Have you removed all the glue residue completely, and that's whats left behind? or do you still have some residue on there. I removed all my badges and door moulds from my VP last week, and the rear badges are just held on by an adhesive, their not sikaflexed like the moulds, and just requires some firm rubbing with a dry rag, the reside from the glue will begin to bunch up and you can pull it off. A little Prepsol, or wax/grease remover, helped remove any real small areas once i was done. Did you damage your paint when removing the badges, how did you take them off??

looks like unfaded paint where the badges were and the rest of the area is faded - is that correct?

dont really know what you could do for that, other than trying to polish the faded area.
if the paint is damaged though, you wont get it back to the same colour as under the badges.

you could maybe try some fine sand paper and try and dull down the paint under the badges to match the rest of the area.

It looks almost like the adhesive has stained your clear. Turtle wax scratch&swirl remover might be your go.

Easy fix - cover it with a Commodore badge, will hardly notice it
