Rear brakes not working

If the brakes lock up with abs, there'd be an ABS module problem.....

go for a drive and when you get home feel the rear to see if its gets hot

Yes, but was there a symptom that was happening when you were driving? Something you noticed etc... Unless your rotors are too worn (narrow) or there's no meat on the pads this could be expected behavior with so much bias towards the front.

If the rear brakes were to lock up like you're expecting, the Commodore wouldn't have a reputation for doing burnouts.

well it doesnt pull up very well, had to brake hard and the car kept going, ended up swerving to the other side of the road to miss the car infront.

If you have the red calipers, they each have two brake bleed valves instead of the normal caliper's one bleed valve. You need to bleed the outside valve first, followed by the inside valve, on the same caliper. Then do the same for the other three corners.

i dont know if hsv calibrate the abs to suit the twin piston caliper i be asking a brake specialist
