Ok, so some weenie smashed my rear quater window on the passenger side of my car breaking in. Ive since brought a new window for it, But how exactly do I go about pulling the smashed on out, and putting the new one in ?

how to do it.. although it's been a while

Strip off the trim
undo the screws in the top of the door (2 of them I think) that hold in the track between the quarter and the main window
using a screwdriver and a size 10(?) spanner undo the bolt below the track, you'll notice that there is a screwdriver groove in the end, the track should now be loose 'ish.

Undo the window anchors on the winder cable (mark the spot where they go with a permanent marker or something)

You should be able to shimmy the glass and the track out.

Put the new glass into the surround, install the track and window and bingo

I haven't done this since 96, so the memories a bit stretched (too much beer!)

Best of luck,

Mick

I know it's done but I want to contribute... take all the door trims off and chipp all the old glass out with a screwdriver, that's how we do it at work.
