Arrgh... replacing the rear shocks... its on blocks now and got the spring compressor in place and the spring compressed... bottom end of the shock removed... and now all i need is the top end OUT... rotated it like mad... as I assume its threaded just like the replacement... and no joy.

PLEASE don't tell me i need to take the bed liner out and undo a nut on the top... thats a big mother of a job.

Any ideas ?

Thanks... Now would be good !

Nup... there is a big arse kidney shaped bracket underneath... 5 very tight nuts holding it on... the whole bracket comes away and there is a nut on the top of the shock... done both sides now... sweet. Cheers anyways... front brake pads tomorrow and oil filter flush and change.

in the boot, there is a rubber boot covering the top of the rod, with a nut...

He has a ute, not a sedan mate.

To the OP, havent had any experience on the utes, find where the shock is mounted at the top & bottom & work from there.
