Rear window ext pillar trim repairs

Anyone got some tips on repairing ute window pillar trims? My have the normal damage to the front mounting. They are pretty much impossible to find now. There is only one on eBay and it has damaged and he is asking $285, which is just insane IMHO. Trying to either find some replacements at a reasonable price or mend mine. But how to get them looking good is the hard part.

Just came back from a trip to the wreckers. Checked out about four or five pillar trims and all were damaged. I found one that I could have repaired but then noticed someone had overtightened the screws and it was pretty well no good.
