G'day legends,

As the title suggests, I have purchased a rear windscreen to boot replacement panel (from Rares) for my VK project and, as it wings its way to me, am trying to research those who have done it as home before - and I can't find squat. :) I have done various replacement panels before and can weld okay, etc, however find any "defo don't do this" tips work well for all-new things on a project car.

In particular I am after info on how the old panel has been removed, and what people did with the boot hinges - it seems a good time to put struts on there, in place of the annoying springs.

Here is the panel I am talking about. Any help would be much appreciated!
