hey after some information and pointers really question about converting to manual has been asked heaps so im not going to ask about that ive decided to spend a bit of money on my VN instead of selling and buying different, (first car kind of attached haha) anyway, its an auto and im looking at converting current motor (series 1) to manual or buying motor and box from a wrecked VN/VP and going from there now im looking at rebuilding the engine, ive been looking at the ACL race kits, now what else will i need to do if i buy this kit (dont need labour costs as work will be done by myself, dad, and some other helpful hands) just wanting to know what else is there so i can get a rough cost idea and plan put together.. is it worth rebuilding the gearbox to toughen it up abit? not wanting a race car or anything just a strong reliable car and one with abit more punch then average what else do i need to take into consideration whilst motor is apart etc? CAI is taken care of wont be bothering with cam upgrades etc or turbo/superchargers either Cheers for any information/tips/pointers
rebuild the transmission with quallity parts, cam is the first thing id be hitting tho... whats included in the ACL racing kits??? while hte block is apart do a port polish and make sure you replace the valve springs as they're pretty much dead by the age of the engine!!!! maybe some higher ratio rocker rollers.... i dunno, depends on what u want and get your self a copy of the latest Street commodores mag, its all about increasing the performance of the stock v6 and has ALOT of info about v6vengance
