aaron, you know that, and I know it too, but it doesnt cure all the bogans driving around with FAIL bowtie badges on their drives.

Hell, even seen bowties on 6 cylinder commodores, poor demented souls...

Can I put Buick badges on my Caprices?

I've seen a Holden Cruise with Chev badges.

What intrigues me is what is the big deal with Chevrolet Bow Ties?

Is like taking a Cadillac and replacing the badges with Opel ones.

Hi

I realise this is an old thread however it appears the best place to ask this.

Can anyone provide me with information on PRA number: 2009/11279 please?

Although this recall relates to VE Omega and Berlina, my 2010 SV6 S2 is exhibiting a problem exactly like the defect described in this recall notice. Unfortunately the recall notice does not detail what is actually at fault or how to go about fixing it. I live in New Zealand and our Holden network here has no information or knowledge regarding this recall and they don't appear to know how to fix the problem.

These are the details I could find:

Holden—VE model—Increased Brake Pedal Effort Required
PRA number: 2009/11279
Date published: 9th December 2009
Product information
Product description
Holden VE models Omega and Berlina fitted with 3.0 litre V6 engines. MY2010.
Identifying features
Campaign number: 09-H-01.
Target number: 3,519.
VIN Range:
Omega. From 6G1EK##F#AL400777 to 6G1EK##F#AL420262.
Berlina. From 6G1EL##F#AL401064 to 6G1EL##F#AL419959.
What are the defects?
On some occasions, when the brakes are used after an initial cold engine start, brake booster power assistance is not available. As a result increased brake pedal effort may be required to achieve the expected stopping distance.
Where the product was sold

Nationally

Supplier
Holden
What should consumers do?
Holden will write to owners of affected vehicles at their last registered address.

If someone in-the-know is able to shed some light on this fault I would be very grateful.

Thanks very much.

you'd know if your booster wasn't working - pedal feels really wrong.
