Is it just me or is the red on the rims a little off? Not quite straight?

Looks good though, i love the blacked out badges.

The stripe is straight... just that it's on the lip of the rim, so if you don't look at it 100% straight on it looks crooked. If it is off slightly it's because the casting on the rim isn't perfect.

I just used VHT engine enamel, making sure it was cleaned down properly first with grease & wax remover.
