Hey

I got defected for being to low and need to put the original springs back in my VY ute.
But having trouble with the rears. I cant get them in. have removed the shock but still and inch or 2 long. There seems to be no room for Spring compressors .

Any Ideas?

Mike

Make sure your Hand Brake is not on, Whilst installing the rears either. Release the hand brake and the cradle drops a little.

That'll teach you to drive a car that looks like a dog scootin its arse.

Just get a mate to stand on the hub.

To get maximum droop you need the hand brake off and the gearbox in neutral (man or auto) and you may need to also disconnect the rear sway bar.
You still may need a big screwdriver or pry bar to slip the original springs back in.
Is this only temporary or are you going to lift the car to a legal lowered height permanently.
Because it may pay to buy the right lowered springs now, fit them and be done with it.
