I'm planning to give my car's paint a good going over during my xmas break, and I was wondering about the best ways to polish up the chrome bits. Any products you guys recommend, or any special techniques. Another question, the crappy "chrome" plastic bits that go around the bumpers and doors on the Calais, mine are all peeling and faded. Has anyone managed to spruce these up? I'd love to have them looking all schmick again before I bring it home again. Thanks, Cogez
metal polish is the best option. but if you have rust spots then hit it with some fine soapy steel wool then the metal polish to protect
had a mate just use chrome pinstriping to rejuvenate and stand out, the peel n stick type of thing, or maybe try the polish as said above
the plastic covering trim on my VQ is peeling in places. can you get reproduction chrome strips from anywhere?
Ring a dent removal/pinstriper, they can replace the chrome all the way around the car for about $100 (some might be more, some might be less)
