The other day I disconnected the battery when I was doing something and I noticed a relay click off in the box next to the battery. Put the battery cable back on and it clicks on again. Didn't pull the lid off the box to see what relay it was. So if this relay is energised the whole time the battery is connected it must be very gradually draining the battery. Is this normal with these cars (VP V8) or is there something sus with mine?

Some cars have an electric hold on the door locks to maintain them in the locked position using very little power drain, this circuit is cut when airbags are deployed to allow the doors to self unlock to allow access to the cabin from outsode the car in an accident.

I'm not sure if this is true for a VP (doubt it but??) but might be the cause

If it is a factory fitted relay then it should be easy to identify.
