    Hey guys,

Just curious if anyone knows what the reliability on what these "knock off" VY SS rims would be like? Who makes them?

I dont see a problem with them. I think it would be hard to find a set of origionals in that condition for that price.

All mags have to comply to ADR rules so you shouldn't have to worry.

that's right. i believe all alloy wheels in australia must comply with australian standard 1638. check that this is stamped on the wheel itself.

there have been known to be cheap imports that don't comply with the standard that have done a good impression of spontaneous combustion for the owner. not good.

hmmm, for that price should be able to get a set second hand on rubber... but then, won't be new... saw like 3 full sets on 70+ rubber all round in trading post a few weeks ago, from 600-800 a set... :) (QLD trading post)

    Thats goods to know.

Ahh ok ill have to check them out

My car isnt lowered at the moment as it would be impractical, due to steepness of driveway...hoping to get this rectified soon, hopefully the landlord will do something cuz im sick of it.

For either of these rims in 18" i was quoted $1285

please do let me know what you guys think.

heh nah just the rims ...got him 80 bucks down on what he first offered but he said thats as low as he can go...with tyres its $2361 for Federal tyres, reason being that 92 load rating means i need certain tyres which are more expensive.
