    Hi lads;
    Do any of you know what's going on and how to fix the following problem?
    My 2003 CV8 Monaro remote keys sometimes unlock and sometimes do not unlock the doors. Now both spare and usual keys do not start engine. The engine ignites, tries to idle then conks out. Can you help?

    I,ve had trouble with a VZ and solved it by changing the remote battery.
    Mind you the car almost always started but sometimes it would start then stop straight up.

    How did you recharge the remote key battery?

    The word recharge didn't even come up so how did you change tact and write that ?

    All you would do is de-solder the battery and put a new one in place, otherwise get a whole new fob and have it programmed up to your vehicle.

    Thanks for your time lads! Much appreciated you all replying. It looks like the car will be going to the auto electricians after all.
