removing air con pulley?

im in the process of fitting all new idler bearings to get rid of this damn noise while car is idling when in drive.i removed the seals from the old bearings and found them dry as.the car has done 220,000kms but im now stuck on how to remove the air con pulley which the whole thread turns with the nut.thats the noisiest bearing.

You need to hold the centre with a screwdriver or similar to stop it turning whilst you undo the nut - also may need a puller to remove the pulley. Make sure you don't damage the electromagnet behind the pulley when you use the screwdriver.

Unplugging the power wire to the A/C clutch and connecting the earth side to to B+ (make a separate wire) will apply the A/C clutch and lock the pulley to the engine (drive belt in place) and make it possible to remove the A/C pulley nut.
