Removing an airbag steering wheel

    Before you all go on about it all, i understand that this makes the car unroadworthy, however its not for road use and its not my car. Friend wants sports steering wheel for his track car. So dont abuse me, tell me its dumb, just explain how to do it without blowing the bag, please. I do know torx bitz and the puller but hoping it wont blow. Cheers

    Remove the battery cable, and you can pull out the SRS (Airbag fuse) Wait 2-5 minutes for the system to de-energise.

    Once that's done, just remove the cables connecting the airbag to the wheel. Lay it aside, dont sit it down in a way that if it goes off, it will rocket into the air though ;)
