has anyone removed the gearbox plumbing on an auto that runs into the radiator and just run it to an external cooler.
i have a v6 vt wagon which has a holden optional external filter fitted and i have plumbed a temp guage in to keep an eye on things.
the box seems to run at about 50 degrees and the engine runs at 90. cause of this i don't see how the radiator can be much of a cooler, more like a "warmer"

I did i my old VN i had ran a external auto cooler only cause it was given to me so i put it on

I think the engine temp is taken from further back in the block were it might be 90c not at the radiator so it prob is still keeping the auto temp down when it runs through the radiator (if that makes sense)

Adding a external auto cooler wouldnt be a bad thing would help it keep it cooler
