I'm having trouble removing the doors on my VP Exec.

The manuals just say to knock the pins out and they basically come off, but the pins, no matter how hard I try, will not come out. Plus, the central locking and alarm was not taken into account and I have no clue what to do about the cords.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, the pins are a BITCH. In some cars, they just knock out... others can be rusted SOLID.

The best bet you have, is to grip the pin head with a large, strong set of plyers, and then smash the handle of the plyers with a 5 pound mallet. That's how I got mine out. Good idea to wear some thick leather gloves too, to absorb the impact. If it doesn't come out straight away, don't get impatient. Just sit there and keep bashing away at it... it can often take up to fifty hits to knock it loose.

You can buy a door pin puller tool from Bursons, but they'll set you back a pretty $50 - and can often break anyway. Good luck :)

the tools are crap - im using one as a hinge pin atm lol.... she snapped off inside - oh well no more saggy door but its going to drop sooner or later i guess

TIP - if your pins have the plastic caps on them - take em off and clean the guts out, stop them rusting away so fast
