Removing indicator guard

Hi guys,
Just curious guys how to remove the Side guard indicator plastic cover? i want to change the lights on the side of my car to LED
Is it just a slide off or do i need to do something else ?? i had a quick play with it today but didn't want to break anything..

Also is the globe just a standard T10 wedge globe ? would i be able to replace with something like this

just slide it forward and pull it out, and for the bulbs they should work but unsure whether they will need a resister or sometrhing to stop them flashing faster as it will draw less current but i guess u can try it and u will find out.
