    Do you want to replace the glass or remove the whole mirror from the vehicle?

    VT External Mirror

    Hi

    I need to replace the whole assembly - the head was broken off in a collision with a kangaroo. The base is broken and the mirror head was left dangling by the wiring.

    I am sure that I could work it out but I don't want to do anything unnecessary.

    Thanks

    Here you go bazza...

    *Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

    * Remove door trim

    *Carefully prise off the mirror trim cover and pull the demister duct up out of the door

    *Remove the mirror assembly retaining (three screws), pull the mirror out and unplug the wiring connector

    *refitting is the reverse of removal.

    As I said last time this came up, I think you have to remove the door trim to access the bottom 2 screws that hold the mirror on. That's what the manual says, but it may not be necessary.
    Edit: I just had a quick look and you will have to remove the door trim.
