And Just pay someone to paint it like so:
Otherwize, i dunno the perfect steps to get a good finish on a dash fascia. Id say Prepsol, primer, colour then clear coat. One thing i do know, you will have to clean it extremely well before painting.
Hi M8.I did mine myself by following some guides i found on here. What i did was sand the facia with wet and dry (very fine grit). Then i washed it free of dust.I used a primer and give it 2 coats of primer.I then used some VHT brand vinyl paint (purchased at autobahn) and gave it several coats of paint.Lastly i painted with 2 coats of clear paint. Give all coats of paint plenty of time.Between each spray i gave a light sand and then cleaned before applying the next coat except for the clear coat at the end. Also make sure that you pick a nice sunny warm day(s).I think i spent 3 days over winter trying to finish mine as i couldnt get it to dry properly.
Check it out....
