I scored an almost brand new set of ssls out of a vt, the 15s sat right in the guard with almost no tyre showing so how low will mine sit with 17s, also what's the best way to remove the rear springs from my car

the rear springs are very easy to remove, jack the car up, compress your springs using a spring compressor, pop your bottom bolt on the shock, remove spring.

the vt springs are a little stiffer as the vt is heavier than your vr so it should sit higher than normal vr ssl's but just a tad lower than fe2. on the vt with 15's if you put 17s under it (vt) would be hidding rim as there is less side wall profile providing the correct tyre ratio was chosen to keep rolling diameter the same. so under your vr it should sit just above the tyre with 0-15mm gap
