I have to replace my Thrust Bearing (Throw-out Bearing) in my V6 VP.
I have a very firm grasp on the process bar one bit... what is the easiest way to drop a T5 box by yourself?
I havn't been under the car again since i played with the fork a little bit, how many bolts are there from GB to Bellhousing 4?
I guess the main question is... whats the easiest way to lift it down?
I am this at manily vn_luke as i know he's done it a few times. Will a system of jacks work or is it easier to just "chest" it out? It weighs about 50-60kg from memory so i figure i could just muscle it down onto my chest and then roll it off... unfortantually, it will just be me doing it.
I would like any tips or tricks you guys have found easy for taking it out..and also, putting it back in!
Also, while its out.. i plan on checking the pressure plate for bent fins however, is there anything else i should be looking for? i don't want to remove the clutch assembly so flywheel scoring is out but anything else would be great.
so:
-> How many bolts + locations around the box (and a head size if anyone knows)
-> Tips on removing
-> Tips on inspection
-> Tips on installation
Thanks,
aZk.
