umm does any one have any advise to help me remove my cd player surround in a vs statesman..coz i really worried i might break something, like i know how to take the parts out of a normal commodore but the statesman center bit covers from the center console up to under the cd surround and its different, so could any one help me out?

you need to open the centre console lid and theres two christmas tree plugs pull them out and that will allow you to remove the whole centre console bottom half to expose 3 screws at the bottom of the cd surround fascia, if your stato is a series II there is also two screws behind the woodgrain panel at the top.
