As the title states, last night I was able to get the front part out but wasn't sure how the back of it was held in almost broke the damn thing I reckon trying to get it off.

Ive uploaded a pic and Im trying to get the area inside the green section out. Any help would be appreciated.

Only has two clips.

As said, remove the panels along the window.

Why you removing it?

Cheers

There should also be a tab that intersects with the glove box. I've had to remove the glove box first to get that section out.
Plus mine also has 4 screws holding it in, 2 under the centre speaker panel and 2 behind the dash strip. so check carefully before you start pulling at it.

Have some strange cracking noise coming from the dash when the ignition is turned on, some say its the accutator for the climate doors or something but heating, cooling, exit points all work fine and it dosent make this noise anytime but on ignition or whenever the electrics are activated never when driving or changing climate settings. This Calais isnt under warranty anymore so, I figured I hack away at it.

It started ever since I started parking in a new spot at work, which exposes the front dash in the sun I'm assuming its heated up alot and somethings maybe bent in the dash plastic wise as it sounds like something is hitting something else. Very bizzare - and its not the headunit, 100% sure. (you can almost even feel something hitting in the dash).

Yeah, Mine is the same. Maybe not the same sound, however when cold or hot, the plastic rattles and groans and it just sounds ugly.

Im really disappointed in the rubbish quality plastic they use. Its horrid.
No rattles left, just stuipd cheap plastic groaning as the chassis moves now.
Sucks.

That noise will be a stripped HVAC door actuator, have done 2 of these this week.

Youre taking the wrong path.

Listen in each footwell to determine which side the noise is coming from, then remove the side trim on that side and either the glovebox or trim under the steering wheel and the upper side trims on the centre console.

You should be able to see or feel which one is clicking, they are held in by 2 screws. There is 2 actuators on each side.

Also they only make this noise when ign is turned on, and it does sound like its coming from the top of the dash.
