Removing VT/VX door trim

hi all. Has anyone ever fitted 6x9 speakers in the rear parcel tray of a vt?
Do you have to cut the parcel shelf at all and if you do is it possible to by mesh inserts to fill in the holes?
Any help would be apprecited.
Sorry if there is already a thread on this i wasnt able to find it.

yeah mate involves removing rear seats and a few plastic screws that hold the parcel shelf in. basicly cut the parcel shelf with a stanley knife around the guide. then knock out the oval metal plate that is spot welded in. and thats where your 6x9s will fit.

and yes you can get covers, around 20 bucks from autobarn mate. hope this helps if ya need a hand just pm me. ive done a fair few 6x9 installs in vt-vys

It made things easier for sure :thumbsup: although I did remove the wrong 3 screws from bottom of the door trim and kinda cracked the plastic tags for the screws :cry:

Hey Guys any one no how you remove the exterior door handles. I think you gotta take the interior door trim off first? any one got any pics of what you do after that.

hi guys please help...
i took the whole door trim off in a flash, and put it all back on easy enough (lot of swearing though) but when i put the lock back on it doesnt go right the way down or attatch to anything!? has anyone had this problem or have i broken it when i was removing it by trying to unhook the orange tab thing?

I believe you have to force off the material insert in the door trim, which should allow you to access the lock rods.

Disclaimer: May permanently damage the trim!

You can't, at least not without stuffing the trim completely.
