Removing VT window winder???

I used the rag method to pop the clip out on the weekend on my VS, very easy, and free.

To put the handle back on, push the clip back into the handle so the prongs point toward knob, then just push back onto the shaft.

ok can u tell me step by step

do u pull it off after u used the rag??? and also how to put on i actually bought a tool for it feel that it loosens but not sure how to get it off

a thin wire clip should pop out, you have to pry the spacer back so u can see what your doing!! and push the tool against the open end of the clip. not that hard. after that the winder will easily slide off.

No. The back of the clip will be visible between the spacer and the handle once you have pushed the tool in. You push it from the knob side, between the handle and the spacer as said.

not unless you want your window to be down until you put it back on??

nope.. and to put it back on just insert the circlip back onto the winder and push it onto the shaft till it locks back in place. once you get the winder off you will see how simple it goes back on

maybe get a haynes/gregories manual for your car semtex. it has heaps of photos and about the only thing it doesn't go into if rebuilding a diff, rebuilding an auto trans and heater cores.
