Repainting engine covers?

Hi All,
I'm new to all this and need some advice, I don't want to ask Hubby cos he will just roll his eyes and I will be waiting another year...:bop:

I recently bought my HSV VT, the engine covers are painted in something other than heat resistant paint and it has all bubbled.:ranting:

Now I need to know how do I strip this off to repaint it while still preserving the badges on the covers????

Any advice how to do this myself would be great:w00t:

TIA
Kylie

best way would be take them off and take them to a paint shop. Ensuring u'll get the best finish

I thought I put a whole thing up under the How-to's but here's some pics to help you out. I bought all materials at K-Mart.
