hey, when i got my rims they had a few scratches here and there and a bit of gutter rash, i hate it, its ugly!!!

anyway the colour of the wheels is Shaddow chrome, when i was rammed last year they repainted one of the rims....... THE WRONG COLOUR!!! they painted it flat silver insted but they filled all the gutter rash etc,

how much would it cost to have 4 rims repainted shaddow chrome (17x8)

i really like the colour and want it done on all of them (maybe a bit more chrome in the mixture) anyone know who does it and how much???

    cheers

can you spray paint.....be cheaper, just tell the paint supplier what you want....:D take a few shelves out of your oven....take you a few days and put 1 rim in a day...lol... seriously i'd say you would be looking round the $300-$400 probably more

I had one of my mag to be repainted, I tell you know its probably cheaper if you buy a new mag. I paid $100 to get it buffed back and another $300 to get it painted shadow chrome. I paid $400 to get it fixed and a new mag costs me $450 each.

If you find the right place they'll probably do it for a sixpack. 4 strip and fits would only take 10 minutes max each way.

That's an interesting thought, could go really well with the right paintjob on the car. Could go the other way and turn out completely rat**** as well, but it'd certainly be unique either way!

i was nearly going to say that myself, but i'm sure there would be places around that would do it at a reasonable price....more so if you supplied the paint, etc

actually it's the labour thats the killer....$80.00 an hour for a spray painter

i got some spare rims i might experiment on, ive also got sitting on my desk 1 bag of satin blue perl...with rims when they're moving the light reflect off aswe all know... now what about shaddow chrome with perl! the top half will be resprayed white with satin blue perl.. keeping 2 tone, just had a thouhgt, dont need to remove tyres, just mask tyres up, JB weld the rims up where the guttering is too bad then prime and paint... i got some 5 spoke 15" rims ill do first to practice on then slap them on, drive it for a week and see what i think of the looks.. if i like it then do the 17s in it... if i dont.. sell them as custom 15" or keep them for track use either way win win :p

yeah respraying rims is too expensive in a shop, for $400 per rim i could get a new set of 17"s and swap the tyres overand then still have $1000 left over

ill just do it my self i geuss could look crap, could look good...ill practice on spare rims first
