I guess it depends on how badly this is damaged as to whether it can still be repaired in situ or requires being replaced. Regardless it will be a welding and spray painting job if it was to be replaced. Strangely these panels seem to spontaneously start to rust at the top edge and then downwards. I've seen quite a few like that over the years along with my eldest sons Acclaim which he had that panel replaced by a crash shop.

I may just have to bite the bullet and get the bog out and to seethe damage.

I must have to ring up wreckers for that part and see if i can source it

Not easy to get off undamaged I might add, thus why we sourced a NOS genuine one.

I presume your removed the quarter panel, bumper and tail light for good access?

Where abouts did you get that panel and how much did it set you back ?

With the taillight removed, can't you get behind that small panel?

Mr cutting up a couple of sedans, I do remember that panel is spot welded on. It could be removed with some power tools like a recip saw and cut out some of the rear quarter panel.

Abit of a mission but i ended up going to the wreckers today and yes that panel is spot welded.

I ended up taking it off a commodore they had in the yard with a battery dremmel it took ages.

I’ll clean it up and give it to an expert to put it on for me. Will post pictures once complete
