Good morning,

Many moons ago when I had a DVD player installed in my VX (Series II Berlina Sedan) I was young and silly and asked the installer to bypass the handbrake wire to allow me to watch DVD's while the car was moving. I believe they earthed it somewhere.

I haven't used the DVD part of my player in about 6 years but am now trying to sell the car and would like to re-wire the head unit correctly so I can get a RWC.

Is this an easy task to undertake? How do I identify the hand brake wire? and more importantly how do I wire it to the hand brake?

The headunit is an old skool JVC EXAD KW-AX700.

Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Thank in advance.

I would just earth the cable so its bypassed, not illegal from my understanding just use commonsense "eyes on ROAD not mobiles or tv/ dvd"
