Anyone replaced the front k frame on a vy s ute is it hard seen people talk about using a jack instead of a hoist on other models but cant see how i can do that becuase the bottom of the engine seems to be surounded on the frame and the jack will prevent me from removing it

K frames are identical.

I have used an engine crane before to hold the engine, whilst changing K-frames..

You can use a jack on the sump, with a block of wood, but it's not something I'd recommend, as you run the risk of damaging the sump

Unbolt everything attached to the K-frame (ie control arms, Z-bars and front wheels.)...The brakes and struts can stay in situ) and drop it straight down, then slide it out the side of the car

He's asking because the cross member will be trapped by the jack
