ANYONE GOT ANY ADVICE ON REPLACING FUEL TANK ON 1990 WAGON? SEEMS PRETTY STRAIGHTFORWARD - DRAIN TANK, DISCONNECT LINES, PUNP AND GAUGE SENDER ELECTRICS, RIP IT OUT AND STRAP IN THE NEW TANK... IS THERE AYTHING I SHOULD KNOW?
CHEERS, MICK.

I reckon you've just about got it spot on Mick besides one thing.

Before draining the tank ensure you have depressurised the fuel system, simply take out the fuel pump fuse where all the relays are and start the engine, it will eventually starve of fuel and die. I generally start it once more just to make sure but I guess it is optional.

Besides that I reckon your most certainly on the right track.

Being a nice new fuel tank you may as well replace the fuel filter since your working down that end of the car.
