Replacing rocker covers

hi all,

is there a gap underneath the rocker covers that is supposed to be there..... its approx. 1-3cm from the bottom lip of the rocker cover?

a gap? u mean from the base of the rocker cover to the engine head?

approximately 1-3cm from teh lip of the cover... in an engine that's a MASSIVE gap, and certainly not supposed to be there

yes on the head....


its literally just below the rocker cover. its really hard to explain. l was changing my rocker covers (and gaskets) and felt this gap. I checked on the side that hadn't been changed, and there it was.

its like a small lip then a little further down an another lip.

seems to ok now... anyone have any ideas how to keep the allen key bolts down?? these covers seem to undo the bolts
