Hi I have a vk running straight LPG I would like to replace the petrol tank with a gas tank has anyone done this before and would like to give me some tips on what gas tank would fit?

If you look for the APA site you will be able to find a pdf download from there of the tanks they make with their weights and dimensions. There are a couple of manifold tanks in that. (I think that at least one was used in the dedicated LPG Falcon but you'll find them anyway.)

There are some regulations on how the tanks may be mounted - things like allowable ramp angles, heat shielding to exhaust components and reinforcement of the tank mounting points - that you might have to consider if the tank isn't going to be mounted in the manufacturers intended application. They're in the AS/NZ 1425 standard.
