    2001 VU Ute
Have just picked up a 2001 Vu V6 manual ute, only to find the motor has siezed. Have picked up a replacement motor from a 2002 sedan (auto). Went to change the flywheel over and found that the auto crank doesn't have the dowel holes for locating the flywheel.

Am I stuffed or is there a solution?

    All help gratefully received!

Hmm I am also interested to see if anyone can answer this as I am doing a manual conversion on my Auto VX S2 sedan and have wondered if the dowels will be a problem.

I do know tough that if it is an aftermarket solid flywheel you will need to get it balanced to the auto flexplate off the auto transmission from the donor car (if you dont you will get crazy vibrations and such, so I have heard anyway) but again only if you have a solid flywheel otherwise you should be fine.
