Hi folks,
Got a VZ wagon that has a pretty trashed tailgate. Has anyone changed the tailagte on these and is there much involved with the wiring or does it connect into the main harness inside the car via a connector? Or do the wires all need to to be pulled and reinstalled? Any help will be appreciated. Cheers

It can be quite a job. Straight forward but lots of things to remove etc, so takes a while.
You will need to remove the interior trim on rear drivers side to access the loom. There are two plugs connecting it down near the back of the rear lamp assembly. You'll see two looms, the tail gate loom is one of them.
Remove the pins from the hinges. There's a retaining clip/circlip holding it on.

Thank you so much. I now know where to start looking for the loom. The rest of it will hopefully go incident free. Fu, thank you for your help. You rock brother

You’ll need someone who can handle some weight to help you. No one with the skinny girlie arms.
