Hey, i am pretty much a beginner with car electrics. i heard from a few mates that if you un-hook the battery for a day that it resets the computer and apparently "gives you more power" as my mates have said, i was wondering if they were bull sh*tting or telling the truth..

more power hah, it just resets everything to defaults, mite fix a rough idle etc, its 20mins or an hour or something not a day

if only. only really rquired to reset ecu if you have aq problem otherwise it won't gain you anything really. better of doing the s/c CAI/K&N/headers/exhaust etc then getting a tune done

Actually disconnecting the battery for about 10 seconds is all you need. And you dont even need to go to that much trouble, you can just pull out the 20A engine fuse near the battery for 10 seconds. Will do the same thing.
