All that idling seems like a waste of time and fuel to me. That's 40 minutes of idling? Just disconnect the battery and reconnect after 30 seconds. Works a treat on my car and everything is reset.

Here's another version:

The reason you'd be doing this is that the battery is disconnected so restoring power basically means reconnect battery.

I've never seen any mechanic, dealership or normal person do this every time they disconnect the battery. But please post findings......

The TPS is self setting on the VT2 and up, you don't need to do that for them. The pre VT2 is as simple as disconnecting the battery for 10 seconds, reconnecting and starting the car, then rev to just over 2000rpm for 10 seconds.

Disconnect the battery resets idle in most vehicles these days. Some take a while to relearn and need to be driven. That list i saw at the top of this thread stinks of bullshit.
