VZ Calais Impounded?
Hi,

Just a quick question.

Im needing a front bar for a VS and having trouble believe it or not finding a white one. lol :banstick:

Are there any colours i should not even bother respraying over with white? eg Red or Black

Or any colour bumper can be painted over with white with no probs?

any hints/tips on prepping the front bar for a good spray job would be appreciated.

cheers

rub it down, flex prime it, hi fill it, rub down again then paint.

If the original colour of the bar you buy is in good nick, just blend paste it with a grey scotch and paint.

Bought a used front Bar today.
In the Berlina colour silvery green colour.

It is in pretty good condition with no dents/ scratches or gouges . minor gutter rash on the bottom lip, not visable from the front.

So you suggest I rub it right back to original primer? or can you let me in on more info about the grey scotch method?

you don't need to rub it back to primer, give it a buzz with p400 then a p800 wet and use a 1k primer on any rub throughs you get, clean it off, then spray on some wax and grease remover wipe off with a clean polytex wipe and paint away
