You could also add effects into the paint if you wanted, like in post 145 HERE

is the paint expensive? how much would I need for 4/5 wheels?
I assume I'd need to mix with paint thinner before spraying?
Also, how do I give you rep? XD

Do you have spray equipment or are you going to use aerosols? Rep is the little star on the bottom left of your posts..

For a full set of wheels you could pick up 500ml primer/filler, 500ml black, 500ml clear, and 4 litres of GP thinners for less than $100.

Paint would be mixed at 3:2 (thinners/paint). I can do a single full coverage coat on a whole car with 1 litre of paint + 1.5L thinners.

I was talking to someone the other day who says its only about 50 bucks per wheel to get them sandblasted and powdercoated. Might be worth ringing around and checking. I doubt you can powdercoat the plastic caps though, because the powder is cured at about 200C AFAIK, so they will need to be painted separately. Definitely a better option if you can afford it, powdercoating looks great and will last for years.
