Retracting an ebay bid, WTF...

    I HAD A BID FOR MY ITEM AND NOW ITS GONE WTF.. THE ITEM IS STILL LISTED, IT HAS NOT ENDED OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, ITS EITHER A GLITCH, OR SOMEONE SOMEHOW RETRACTED THERE BID. is this possible?
    P.S SORRY BOUT THE CAPS:whistling

    it sounds like they changed their mind. you should have got an email stating why they retracted the bid. usually you can retract the bid only more than 12 hours before the finish time. you can use the escuse that you typed in the wrong amount and then you get out of the bidding

    the owner can retract your bid without notifying you at any time. If its extremely close to the end of the auction i think they cant.

    oh its your item, in that case anyone can retract a bid if they want to by using the bid retraction form. ask ebay for the reason stated as its recorded.

    Ebay probably monitors the ip of bidders to stop that sorta thing also

    You can offer a 2nd chance offer to other bidders if the highest bigger falls through also.

    Im pretty sure you can't retract a bid in the last 24 hours (unless its within x amount of time since you made the bid).
