Ahh pulling apart the steering column was what I envisaged to be the easy part..

Is connecting up the wiring harness to the loom straightfoward?
An out right pain in the arse!!

Did you have to go through the firewall or anything to get the stalk loom wires to the module?

Your car is cable ready (so to speak) the existing arteries are already there.

Yep Shounak, beeks is correct just bolt on and plug in and away you go. I have a standard exe and all the required plugs where sitting there waiting to be used... By the way there is two different lenght cables but they both fit. Just the long one goes around the left side strut tower... The longer one comes off the vt.

Yeah easy for you guys. I have a series 1 VT had to run the loom and pull out the dash to put in the extra lights to show the cruise was on or not etc.

Shounak,, i have a 2000 vx exe, nothing special added to the car. The wiring loom was already there mate, The plug for the stalk was taped up in the column and the plug for the module was there also... I do not understrand why you have to buy a loom...

Just to add a bit more!!! The plug that fitts into the cruise module is a brown colour. And it should be located under the fuse box in the engine bay, windscreen end.... Hope this helps mate...
